Five Great Props

Five Great Props For Your Engagement Session

Hello guys, it's Bryan again. Three weddings this weekend and two last weekend plus lots of home stuff from Helen so this is going to be a really simple and quick post.

Just wanted to give you some quick advice for props you can use to make interesting and timeless engagement pictures. You'll notice a theme here that these pictures really focus in on the props. Part of the reason for that is that these pictures are designed to capture the sentiment of the moment, your engagement. They will still be great memories 20 years from now and you won't feel that pressure to replace them with new pictures.

Scrabble Letters

This is a simple one and every one has a scrabble game. Plus you can sub in the ring as any O for a nice touch.

Rope

We do after all still call it tying the knot. The rope gives you a really good representation of that.

Chalkboard

This is always cute because you can change it pretty quickly and get some fun lively pictures. It's kind of a classic.

Write anything you like.

Ampersand (or letters or numbers)

I like initials and or dates but the elegant choice to ,e is always the ampersand. There just isn't much else that needs to be said is it?

You & your someone.

Empty Picture Frame

The empty picture frame lets you take any common scene and isolate the two of you from whatever is going on. It really communicates the idea that the two of you walk together through a busy world and I love that symbolism. For bonus points you can light the frame on fire or do other neat tricks with it.

Frame your engagement properly.

Bonus Item: Imagination

Now all of these are props that we bring with us to your engagement session. You only need to bring your imagination and sense of adventure.

Well that will do it for this week, tune in next week when we will have some amazing, exciting, and super thrilling news to share with you.
